I took a call about three weeks ago from a lady who wanted to order contact lenses and solutions for her son.
I was certain that I knew who she was, and that it was her son’s name I wrote down, but when we called her to advise that the lenses were here, she asked Sandra if it had been her son who ordered them, as she had not!
At the time I thought I knew who I was talking to, but obviously I was wrong, and I ordered contact lenses for the wrong person.
We have thought through every son with initials D. C. Just in case I wrote down the wrong name, but in my mind I was sure I knew who I was talking to.

Just as I hit send, Neasa had a brainwave and we have found the mistake – it was for a Daryl, not a Darragh. Panic averted – we just did not want to leave someone short over Christmas!
